Will MGS: Ground Zero destroy it's series as bad as Ninja Gaiden 3 did to it's franchise?

Ground Zero is getting hammered for its length and price whereas NG3 got hammered because the gameplay was terrible and among other things.  I've only played the demo of Razors Edge, but the combat was a huge improvement over the original NG3.
