Cute analogy though being right about something that took an inside source to know when no one was questioning it creates a more complicated scenario than a broken clock. I just remember the same "they're liars being paid by Sony" comments being made over that whole mess or the time Sony fans called them liars for saying Driveclub was delayed before the news broke. It's not that these guys have no credibility. It's that they have enough to make what they say suddenly a very possible scenario that many people didn't think would happen and that makes some of them feel very insecure. So they demonize them.
