I use to have a 1080i big(CRT) TV and the blu ray looked same as dvd to me,,
But last night I watched a blu ray on my new TV(Sony 46XBR4)and I gotta say woww,,,
I am actually impressed with the amount of details in the movie.(sometimes it is so real that you fell you are watching an HD documentary)Colours are also impressive.so vibrant.
I watched a movie called Brave one.It didn't have crazy visual effects but I easily could see the difference with the DVD.
All of my family enjoyed the quality,even my mom said wow and she's not into high tech stuff.
My conclusion:
TV makes worlds of difference
Blu ray movie impressed me
