Ban or control the guns. Guns can be bought at supermarket with no ID checks. Guns kill people.

So that .22 sitting in my closet is going to suddenly pop up and shoot somebody on it's own?

And what supermarket do you live by?

Personally, I believe that there should be limited controls placed on firearm owenership, but that they should by no means be banned.

I mean, if we're going to ban firearms, why not ban alcohol while we're at it? A drunk driver is just as much if not more dangerous than a firearm. Actually, since we've already established that people are not responsible for their actions, but the objects they use are, let's ban cars, as a car in the hands of either an intoxicated or sober person is extremely dangerous.

Drunk drivers kill WAY more people then gun deaths... and those deaths unlike gun deaths aren't directly mostly at criminals only.

That's not even counting the people who kill someone by hand, or with a knife... or even a gun because they were drunk.

Beer has a much more negative effect on violent crime rates then guns.
