Besides the blatant disregard to facts, he makes some obvious Sony fan comments. He talks about prying on the ignorant and goes on to state how ignorant he was himself to the facts.
1. The 360 was cheaper. Wifi was not a common thing in 2006 when the 360 launched. Rechargeable batteries weren't reliable, so therefor having replacable batteries made sense(can't argue why the XB1 still went that route). HDMI was no where near common, people still had tube TV's as common place. Claiming that "a majority of owners had them" is rather laughable. Good to know that he was spending so much time at EVERYONE'S house. The core gamers did, but they bought the souped up version themselves.
2. Bluray support. I can't disagree that it would have been simpler if MS had adopted it, but that wasn't even decided until 2 years AFTER the 360 was introduced. The different sized hard drives were done on purpose. Give people different price points to get into the gaming market. Just ask Apple and google, Apple sells all of their products at a higher price point, while Google goes much lower.
3. Gaming support - Not many would argue that Sony did a better job of supporting its console during the last 2-3 years. But predetermining that M$ will not support the XB1 in the later years is just making things up. No one will know that until 4-6 years from now.
4. Biased advertising? What was biased? They paid for exclusivity and then advertised it. Did they lie? No. Did they mislead? No. It just pissed of the Sony fans is all.
5. RROD? No one can argue that the RROD sucked for all those affected by it. But, it is not a M$ thing to have problems. Sony had a hug amount of problems with the PS2's at launch. The DVD rom drives had a high failure rate. They fixed it and moved on. M$ had a much bigger problem, but they to fixed it and moved on.
Claiming the XB1 does more of the same is a bit of a stretch. The $100 price difference is easily justified with the Kinect functionality. If you think that the Kinect is crap, then that is true for you. The same could have been said for the bluray in the PS3. Either way, I don't need wifi in my set up, but I get it anyway. Also, no one debates the extra power in the PS4. The extra power hasn't proven to matter this early in the generation, but we will see in a few years.
THe whole point of the OP is clearly from a PS fan perspective with an obvious bias against M$. That is fine, but don't expect people who aren't so biased to be as fooled as the OP is by Sony or M$ or Nintendo.
It is near the end of the end....
