It completely depends on your system, games you play and more importantly the screeen you have to go with it. It is pretty tough to justify a 780 unless you have a very high res screen and/or money is not a factor. If money is not a factor then go the 780, if it is then 770 is likely to more than meet most gamers needs currently and can easily be updated in a year or 2 for cheap when new models come out and either card craps all over anything any of the console will ever be able to put out in terms of performance.
