If You Were SE What Would You Do With the FF13 Team Now?

I would make them take a long hard look at why the previous FF games were held in such high regards, e.g. Battle system, relatable characters, emotive relationships etc and ensure they are core to the new XVI game! Once these are solid then they can focus on eye-watering visuals!!
