To those who are saying the difference in lighting is the issue. It's not the difference in lighting. Lighting will change the hue of colors, but textures will still be noticeable whether they're better or worse. To point it out, I've decided to post a 1080p image of the retail version in daylight and then a darker image of the 2013. Apparently the version with better lighting should look more appealing right? The better textures should stand out?
Retail version on the top, 2013 image at the bottom. Retail version has brighter lightning, but you can clearly tell that the fabric on clothing on the other version is a bit better. One noticeable thing I want to point out is that if you check out Delsin's undershirt on the image in the top, the seams and texture between them look flat. On the bottom picture, those same seams aren't a single texture and each one has a different depth. The clothing looks more real in the bottom image than the top. Does Infamous Second Son's graphics still look great? Yeah. Looks amazing. Does it look as good as the 2013 version, no, and it's noticeable that it doesn't, regardless how marginable a difference it is.
