I'd rather pay $2/mo to have 100GB of cloud data from Google. Based on how they've been decreasing their price per GB every year or so, next year 500GB will be for $2/mo.

I say this because cloud has no issues with being replaced by another tech AND it certainly isn't going to be lost or damaged.
