But surely it's CAD vs Yen that sets the price for PS4, not CAD vs. USD. For XB one it is CAD vs USD of course. Sony will consider the US price when setting the CA price, but it's still all about converting the money to Yen for Sony revenue.
NZ price (without tax) converted to CAD is $564. Aussie price (with tax I think) is $550 CAD. EU price (with tax I presume) is $616 CAD. So CA price is still bloody good on a global comparison basis, and no one should be bitching about $449CAD MSRP price.
If Xb one price in CA is $499 that means MS is probably taking a small HW loss in CA while making a slight HW profit in USA. Damn! lucky Canadian Xb one fans, US buyers are subsidising your purchase.
