and this video shoots itself in the foot by mentioning Inafune. Here's the thing: that interview he was citing had Inafune claim the Bionic Commando reboot did well in the West. Except it didn't. It BOMBED in the West both critically and commercially. In fact, Inafune had an interesting history with attempts to Westernize series only to have them blow up in his face. Bionic Commando, Lost Planet 2, DmC: Devil May Cry were all games he produced but when he was obviously pushing to Westernize them they were all flops. The only one that succeeded was Dead Rising 2.

Seems to me that Inafune is the one living in his own little world, especially since a LOT of companies are unashamed of being Japanesey such as Atlus, xSeed, From Software, and Nippon Ichi Software. When you have success stories like that (as well as Namco localizing JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE), the entire argument just falls apart.
