It doesn't matter when it was written. The Constitution is the supreme document of law, and it supersedes everything else. If we can all agree (two thirds of the house and senate, and three fourths of the states) that part of it is outdated, we can amend the Consititution to fix the outdated section. Well, with such a majority needed I don't think there is a big chance of the law being changed, although a majority of the people could be in favour for change. Ironicly, the biggest chance of changing the second amendment is to actually take up arms and overthrow the government to change the constitution.
