I felt like a fish in water in Dark Souls thanks to spending ~80 hours with Demon's Souls.

Same. I rage quit Demon's Souls a lot and I even stopped playing for about a month til I decided to try again. Dark Souls was way smoother for me. Most of my deaths in Dark Souls were me falling off ledges :p.
