EA, they bought some of the best studio in west(bioware, visceral, dice, criterion). And they did great games. The problem is not exactaly the developers, because they make good games. The problem is some decisions in corporate and techinicial level. Like, its ok to put out frostibe 3 even if they didn't manage to remove the great level of bugs on the engine.

There is origin too. Ok, when steam launched and half life 2 was exclusive, their get bashed too. And for some time everybody hated steam(i included). Now everybody loves it. But, origin has a uphill battle ahead, and yet, it seems that so litle have been learned. They are to pushing to much, but they don't do enough to justify its existance. But this actually the one point that i believe that will get better with the time.

But there is the business decisions. And is there that they fail the most with the consumer. Overpromisse every new iteration of fica, maiden, and etc. Regular use of DLC on all their games, and introducing microtransactions on games that already you paid for. Push all franchises on a browser game/mobile game. And what concers me is that they actually don't see nothing wrong with all that. In fact, they are trained this way, to think that way, to squeeze money of everyone that is willing to bit. This is the future of EA, and they not intend to change this:

So yeah, some things can get better, but other won't because is not profitable for them.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
