I do agree that setting people's expectations does change their perception when reviewing a game or not and there have been many reviews that did this exact same thing... Another example would be DKC:TF imo where a lot of sites deducted points for it being too hard and challenging at times... Like what? Just cause DKC:R was easier and more consumer friendly than DKC:TF does not mean TF is a worse game! And there are many other examples of this as well like Wonderful 101 and Sonic Lost World (which they had too high of expectations) and etc

Reviewers do need to learn that their reviews matter cause people will pay or wont pay based on their opinions
