Basically this. RAM affects how quickly your computer (GPU + CPU) can work, but it doesn't make it any more powerful. However if you have too little RAM, that can slow down how quickly the computer can work.
Picture a highway, and RAM being the number of lanes. If you have 16 lanes, great, but do you need it for 100 cars/day? However having only 1 lane would significantly slow down traffic as everyone would be stuck behind 1 car. DDR5 with said analogy would be 5 lanes, where DDR3 is 3 lanes.
The OP said the XB1 could be more powerful because it could potentially have more RAM. Not only is this arguement complete bs, it's also untrue that the XB1 has more RAM.

ESRAM would be.......a 10 mile passing lane over a 2,500 mile trip (which is the distance between the East and West Coast in USA).

Exactly some people think the eSRAM is a benefit to Xbox One but countless developers talk about how it is a hindrance.
