So yesterday I got GTA5 (for free xD) and today I played for like 6 hours straight.

Then my 14 or so months old PS3 slim CECH3004B froze for the first time ever!
The room/PS3 smelt like something was burning. (Either dust inside the PS3 but I highly doubt that or plastic or whatever)

The console was also pretty hot and it has never been that hot before not even after playing 16h straight during summer months.
The room temperatuer was 19C / 66F.

I then remembered there once was a debate about it and found ALOT of threads all over the internet.

What now? Should I stop playing? Is it the game's bluray thats wearing down/overheating the drive's motor?
And does Rockstar replace the bluray?

Is the GPU overheating?
Is this problem "official" now?
Did GTA5 kill any of your systems?

P.S. Does anyone know if there is a way to guess the PS3s internal temperature?
Like  if room = 20C and vent temp = 60C then CPU/GPU temp = 80C ???
(why consoles dont have temp monitoring is completely beyond me....)

Thanks :)
