If TF could have shipped at fixed 60fps at 720p then it should have, with optimisation patches progressively raising resolution but always keeping 60fps locked. The Digital Foundary analysis will be interesting. If the framerate drops are infrequent and relatively small (never going below 45?) then perhaps the sacrifice for 72 more lines is reasonable. |
"Unwarranted"? What in God's name was the point of upgrading from their 360s if the resolution and framerate do not increase?
