i'm glad they aren't pressuring developers.  that will foster good developer relationships.  i do hope sony gets this in the hands of indies as they are more likely to take the risk to develop something unique for it.  ..but i also question the viability of this.  sony NEEDS to bring their "wii sports" to the reveal.  if this doesn't get amazing press from day 1 it will flop.  sony needs positive word of mouth on their side,.. this will be impossible to advertise their way to customer acceptance.

also, i agree, Sony need to impress the Media from day one, let them wear it and try it on, make them go WoW! or else sony are in for a tough ride, VR will be a VERY hard thing to market and the only way people can really see what it does and its effect is to try it on. So sony needs the press to say "its fucking awesome" so people could atleast get excited to try it.
