No offense but the days were Sony tech was generally ahead of the competition are over for quite a time. And Oculus is rumored to be at about $500, no way Sony will sell an add-on at this price so hardware-wise Sony's solution will definitely be inferior to Oculus.
and usually those corporation are multi billion dollar corporations. Sony has a long long history in imaging, 3d, and other tons of forms of technology. how much does oculus VR have? are you simply saying sony cant make a good product because Samsung or Apple had the upper hand lately?
