you have up until the race starts usually so plenty of time and if you miss the first few races you can still join as there are plenty of points to play for
They decided to just keep double points for the last race then i read,bernie wanted to for the last 3 races which seems kind of strange,don't really understand the point of the double points system myself seems stupid to me
with red bull and vettel winning the last 4 or whatever they have all this chaos isn't so bad though i guess
