The dual CPU/dual GPU architecture gave devs headaches in a time when multi-threaded programming wasn't really a thing, that's for sure, but I immensely enjoyed games like Daytona USA, Sega Rally, Virtua Fighter 2, Panzer Dragoon 1+2+Saga, Dragon Force, Nights, Clockwork Knight, Shining Force III, Winter Heat, Worms (the first one was amazing, all other titles are junk imo), Saturn Bomberman, Sim City 2000 and Wipeout 2097. I had more fun with my Saturn than with my Mega Drive/Genesis or Dreamcast that's for sure. |
I totally agree, bar the Dreamcast that was amazing aswell. The saturn is very far from beeing the worst system ever. Such statements are most likely born from confirmism at the time. Maybe if they knew that sony money hatted their way to the top by stealing saturn developed games and paying for exclusive sequals. Things might have been different if it was nowadays. Sony used to be the Microsoft. Different times.
