I am not trying to offset the GPU advantage the PS4 has, what you are not getting is that you cannot just look at the power of the GPU and say Playstation 4 can perform better than the Xbox One. There are other factors such as memory bandwith and CPU speeds. If the ps4 and xbox one were made up of just GPUs then I would not have an argument. |
Yes and the other facts still means ps4 is a more powerfull system, esram is too small, a hindrance, and does NOT make for more bandwidth. The ddr3 in x1 is still its' speed, 32 mb esram is not speeding that up, so x1 has a slower main pool is NOT unified, and relying on a TINY 32 esram is laughable at best.Everything you said in other words is incorrect.
The ps4 does and is performing better that is simply fact.
You are just looking at ram and adding up numbers and trying to SPIN those numbers, PS4 has better ram and architecture on TOP oif a better gpu. Yes a better gpu is a huge advantage that will not be offset by a tiny 32 mb esram.
You don't have an argument, even if you were right (You are not), and say the x1 had better ram bandwidth, the x1 would still lag behind due to the gpu not being able to render at 1080-p, having less shaders, compute units, less fill rate, meaning it would still have to drop in resolution, frame rate and effects to maintain the same performance., No amount of fast ram is goiung to help the gpu, no matter how fast the ram is, it will then have to be bottlenecked by how well the GPU can render. PERIOD. Look up bottlenecks. X1 has worse ones the the ps4.
