Just because something retains its full value over time does not mean its somehow bad.

Fact is mario, zelda and other games are supremely popular for the entire life of the hardware and well after where the games 3rd parties shovel out are proven to be worthless a month later.

So what? There is more games that sells a lot at first and equally they drop the price 5-6 months after launch, sometimes a little more. If third-parties are anti-consumer, Nintendo is not too far behind. And don't forget, the budget for wii games was low, I would say they are even more "anti-consumer"
