So of course, its not so simple, but to call a Nation something which existed only 2 years during total annihilation of Russian empire - its a bit too much.

Technically nation could exist within various nation-states, or inside another nation-state, like Poles in Russian Empire (you won't deny they are nation). But truth be said, Ukraine is indeed a failed attempt to buildl a nation, I won't bring up the topic on who was or is trying to build a nation out of Ukraine, but what we see now is a yet another failed attempt in building an Ukrainian nation, and every damn time it ends with unmitigated nationalism.
