Crimea historycally is a part of Russia. Same as 70% of Ukraine, inclyding Kiev. Also it never was a separate 'ukraine' state until 1991. So why not.

That's not true. The first Ukrainian nation existed 1917. Without crimea naurally.

"Nation" cannot exist 2 years and then dissapear. If you'd investigate further, you'd see that from 1918 till 1920 on the territory of current Ukraine existed 16 different 'countries'. 
So of course, its not so simple, but to call a Nation something which existed only 2 years during total annihilation of Russian empire - its a bit too much.
