As a kid of the 90s, no, as somebody who has used an Oculus Rift on multiple occasions, absolutely.
That thing is ridiculously cool. Screw looking stupid, the sense of motion and immersion made up for it.
And I think that will be the major selling point, kiosks. It really doesn't seem like much until you use it.
