If it's true and they can upgrade or have it built it to Run DirectX 12 this could be a very big deal.  Games could look another generation or so better soon.  And Xbox One might have a very long life.

Another big thing people are overlooking is that if DirectX 12 become lead platform all games will start look really, really good. 

I doubt MS would release a new console and then not announce DirectX 12 for it 5 months later. They were prepared for this.

Xbox 360 and DirectX 10 would like to have a word with you. 

If they really are able to have DirectX 12 on the Xbox One it should be a very big deal.  It does seem like they have planned this all along.  Sneaky, sneaky.

Yeah it would make sense, as much gamer rip on Microsoft, they where the one that help boosted the western game development thanks to the popularity of the DirectX engine. If this engine is even more dev friendly then the Unreal Engine 4, this could boost Windows 8 and PC gaming numbers.
