I bought and enjoyed the game on Wii U. I already had the game on my PS3. Later on I even bought the game on PS-Vita. I could care less where Criterion (Alex Ward) games go, I will buy them.
I completely get his frustration with Nintendo and the poor way in which the release of late to console 3rd party games are treated (NFS and Deus Ex being examples). I guess Nintendo itself feels burnt on how poorly Mass Effect 3, Batman Arkham City, Darksiders 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3 sold on Wii U.
