There're two federal laws, the first being Federal law in regard to protection of children from information harmful to their health and development virtually similiar to "no homo promo" laws in States, but on federal level. It doesn't prevent anything, only definitions, quote:

The other one is Code of Administrative Offences ("administrative offences" ~ "misdemeanor" in terms of common law), quote:

Propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations among minors. 1) Spreading of information that aims to form non-traiditional sexual orientation among minors, appeal to non-traditional sexual relations, distorted perception of social equality of traditional and non-traditional sexual relations... fine from 4000 to 5000 RUR (~110-140 USD).

Fines may rise considerably depending on the circumstances, like legal status of the defendant, e.g. media channel will pay more.

 Why is their so much interest in the Ukraine from Russia? 
As to why does Russia find it their obligation to go into a country (Ukraine) that is having a major political reform, and to go into the country with it's own Military and not diplomat's?
