Sounds to me like they fake the resolution like these 120hz and 240hz hd tv's fake they're refresh rate. These hd tv's use past and future frames to create the in between frames, giving the impression of 120 or 240hz, and it works pretty damn good too. GG is faking it much the same way. I don't have any problem with it, but let's call it what it is: fake 1920x1080. The original image is 960x1080, that's the bottom line. Just as with hd tv's faking 120hz or higher: the original source is 24,30,or 60 frames per second. It's not amazing, as some here put it. It's not better than 1080p. Let's not fool ourselves here. I can't help but get the feeling that Sony has pigeon holed themselves into this 1080p thing, even though some games clearly should have gone lower for better performance. This is the new "blast processing" for the new gen, courtesy of Sony.
