It wasn't acceptable to a lot of Xbox fans until reality slapped them in the face that their platform was running games at lower native resolutions to maintain good framerate. Back when they thought their console could handle 1080p just fine and they thought they had more native 1080p games than PS4 all you heard was laughter from them. Turns out not even "cloud power" would help. How many threads ran about "secret sauce" that would push X1 ahead and how much denial was there over Call of Duty not being native 1080p? How many times did we hear insistence that Titanfall would run native 1080p until it was revealed that's not happening? How often do we keep hearing about how DirectX and new devkits are going to change it? Turns out it does matter. It's the pot calling the kettle black. It's a victim mentality that many in the Xbox fanbase have developed because reality sucks and they don't want to admit they were wrong.

As an Xbox fan I can tell you that while we always hope to get the best out of a console, the majority of Xbox owners (and actually even the majority of people out there) do NOT care about the resolution difference as long as the game is good and looks nice. So stop generalizing, you obviously (not being an Xbox owner/fan) have not clue what you are talking about and pretending to know what WE think/believe/want is just ridiculous.

The fact that many people were defending their console and hoping for the best has NOTHING to do with this non-sense about game resolution and how people are making a huge deal out of it. Your post is just reminding me how the vast majority of resolution drama queens does not really care about the actual resolutions or games but really about how the "opposite" fan base should feel instead of their own...

No sure why you are bringing the "secret sauce" or even those rumors about directX and new dev kits. It is not the point at all here and you are just arguing with yourself.


Notice how I said "a lot" of Xbox fans. I also said "many". I did not say "most" or "majority". I was not generalizing like you claim. I know quite well that most average Xbox fans don't care but there really have been quite a few in your fellow fanbase who have acted that way and continue to. On this site and many others. They are the ones I was referring to. I need to own an Xbox or be an Xbox fan to understand the thought processes of people on this site or others who have made it clear what they think? Right. Whatever you say.

My post should remind you that no fanbase is innocent for the "resolution drama queens". Many Xbox fans have been acting like PlayStation fans are the ones to blame for the whole "resolutiongate" nonsense and your post painted a picture of you as one such individual who feels the need to take a stab at the Sony fanbase instead of just the morons in general. Instead of just leaving it as a general statement you had to go and bring up "I hope they feel uncomfortable now that even a Sony studio has to explain". As you are an Xbox fan I'm sure you're quite aware of how that sounded.

I brought up secret sauce and DirectX to illustrate that that there are those in the Xbox fanbase who have pushed and continue to push for the idea that the X1 is superior. So while many of them will say "it doesn't even matter" they still use or used such ideas to push the belief that the X1 would be superior now or someday and gloat about it. If it doesn't matter then why do that? It goes to show that the fanboys on both sides are total hypocrites. That this is not the fault of one fanbase or the other. Yet you can easily look around and see how often the PlayStation fanbase is generalized as aggressors, the cause of the problem, and the only ones who are being hypocrites. 

I took your post as you ragging on Sony fans because of your later comment. If that's not what you were doing then my apologies. I am just as tired as you are of generalizations. I can't even make objective comments without being attacked as a fanboy because I didn't agree with someone of another fanbase. It seems as though no one on this site even wants to actually talk about games anymore but instead compare their tiny penises. The worst part is the penises they're comparing aren't even their own as they claim. Theirs are even smaller.
