He may have had an addiction to pain-killers at one point, but there is no evidence that it is still happening.
Do you know why he got addicted to begin with? He had back surgery that went south. Do we judge other people who abuse painkillers to deal with chronic pain due to a botched surgery? I don't think that many people do.
