Trophy and Achievement hunters, When do you look at a guide?

I usually look at the trophies before playing the game. Then I decide if I even want to platinum it.
If yes, the most important thing is finding out if there are missable trophies. If there are too many, I usually choose to play through the game once without looking at guides at all, then decide if I go for a 2nd run (if the game is fun enough) and then I usually look at a guide all the time (for missable collectibles).

If there are just a couple of spots where there are missable trophies I just try to get em in the 1st run. The non missable trophies I use to get after finishing the main story.

For example: I'll start playing South Park The Stick of Truth today. I saw there are a lot of missable trophies, and there aren't any 100% road maps out yet, so I'll play through it without bothering about trophies and then if I like the game enough for a 2nd playthrough I'll get a good road map and play along it till I get the plat.
