Like I said, and you just assume that the Japanese needs to have the same taste as the western boys. Knack is by far a most appeling game to them. Like KZ is the most appealing game upon release for you.
1st point -> Japanese buys a 'made in japan' game over a west game any time. Even if it is lower quality.
2nd -> They can't had enough of platformers and 'cuties' like Knack is advertised
3rd -> You can see everyday games being sold pretty good in japan and they don't even bother to make a western release !
