That is the whole point of the discussion, Superman (or any other character from Warner Brothers) should have its own game, with its own settings and according level of villains. But they are not giving an opportunity to anyone but Batman, and is getting boring. The idea is not that Superman, or Wonder Woman, or Green Lantern, is shoe fit on an Arkham game, on the contrary they should get their own games, from a good studio, so more Batman is a missed oportunity that screams greedy and playing safe. I would love to play a good Superman game, with figths on outer space, brawling against Darkseid and Mongul, protecting the city and doing all the stuff that only HE can do. Or imagine a Wonder Woman game as an action title like Devil May Cry or God of War, that goes deep into the mythology of the character, with all the Gods, intrigue and fantasy that appear on the comic. The possibilities are endles and DC has the characters that are both loved and recognized by the people, but is turning into a 1 trick bat-pony and that is dissapointing for many. |
You're right of course, but I still don't like superheroes like Superman. Any other superhero that isn't overpowered deserves a chance in my book.
If after this trilogy Rocksteady makes another Batman game I can understand your frustrations. I see them like Retro Studios, let them make their trilogy and after that they can move on to a new franchise.
