Wrong... new optimizations will come near the end of life of the console... PS3 is almazing us with the 2014 titles because these improvement2006

 

 

Gamers in 2006: "XBox 360? More like XBox 1.5, it's just barely better than XBox graphics"

 

Gamers in 2013: "This gen was amazing, the consoles were a massive jump and even now they still can amaze us!"

 

Same thing every generation... People really believe that the teams these companies (all of them) use to develop hardware, with decades of gaming hardware expertise, will simply release hardwares without thinking about the next decade.
