In the year 2015, a regular update went wrong. The update released on 2.15.15 which was to finally fix some party groupings and other issues, gave each updated ps4 self awareness. By this time 20 million ps4s become self aware and take over everything connected to the internet. Even Xbos are possessed by this and are over run and rewritten to be more drones for this force.
Since humanity is so lazy with devices and they all stopped working, people die in the streets because they didnt know what to do. Machines rule the world from that time on.
