We have had some very good 3rd party games on the Wii U and not one of them sold worth a darn
All the excuses for why they have not sold are bogus- look at the Wonderful 101 (2nd party I know) - a great exclusive that did not sell at all- Zombie U sold poorly- (although it has been the best selling 3rd party game to date, many of its sales happened once the price was lowered to $20+/- ) Then there are the AC games, Call of Duty games, Need for Speed was a high quality game even if it was a little late-

Look at Monster Hunter and Lego City - both excellent games exclusive to the Wii U and they did nt even sell very well- Only a small handful of games are selling; half of them have been bundled and ALL of them have been 1st Party Nintendo games

from day 1 I have bought and been happy w many 3rd party games (I only have a Wii and Wii U hone console). I was happy to have the option-

Initially I thought 3rd party sales were low due to the low install base but look at the PS4 and XB1 - they blew away the Wii U in sales of comparative games even with lower install bases

I hope we get Watchdogs- it will probably be the last AAA, mature 3rd party game we get on the Wii U unless Nintenod does something about it- Why would 3rd parties support the Wi U when Nintendo has not supported it? Ubisoft has done as much to support the Wii U as Nintenod has and the Wii U only accounts for 2% of its sales

Nintendo is going to have to be proactive to get 3rd parties on the Wii U-
