Casting our minds back to the heyday of the 360, we'd remember that its exclusive library was impressive due to a wealth of 3rd party exclusives and timed exclusives. When the PS3 picked up steam (end 2009) this trend disappeared completely and the 360's lineup was weak.

This time there is no year headstart. This time the competition is easier to work with and more powerful. This time the competition is creaming the Xbox in sales.

The new Mass Effect and Bioshock and other majore 3rd party games will launch concurrently on both consoles (just like the last games) and the difference in libraries of the two will be clear to see for all.

And Gears will be on PS4.

I agree with the first part, but as far as Gears, Microsoft purchased it from Epic. Probably the smartest decision they ever made. They were becoming so dependent on Epic that eventually something had to give. Now Epic can make a new IP and increase the gameage in the industry without Microsofts dependent self breathing down their neck for Gears time and time again. When Microsoft works with a company for a highly demanded game the company must make that one game. They have zero imagination.

I missed that! Happened about a month ago or so I see.

My bad!
