Some people don't seem to get this (or they simply won't acknowledge it and abandon their argument) and unfortunately, you won't convince these people.
By their understanding, 1080p = 1920x1080 "Full HD" which would mean anything that isn't 1920x1080 native render isn't "1080p".
This is not the case, but... see statement 1.
