You don't measure power of a country by it's military inventory. Instead by the willing of it's people.
If Russia gets into a war with Ukraine, it's gonna be another Afghanistan to them or worse. Ukrainians are very patriotic and the streets of Ukraine will be transformed into a graveyard for their army.

sure we all know, russia is losing the controll over the ukraine an is taking over the pro russian parts of the ukraine.
and putin knows that the EU will not go to war over the eastern ukraine. the EU wouldnt even go to war against russia for the western ukraine, but they would sell a lot of weapons to the enemys of the russians in the ukraine.
everybody into politics know that. putin knows that he cant win a war against the EU. they dont have the money and they dont have the know how to win such a war. but putin also knows that no one in the EU realy cares about eastern ukraine and that the people of the EU arnt willing to die for the eastern ukraine.
