Apple was a success back in the 1980's but then they completely fell off
Steve Jobs came in and reinvigorated it not in a normal way,he completely changed the company as if it was a totally different and new company
but as Apple had alot of backlog and bad name,it refined it iMac's and iPod till he could get out the iPhone.
Apple today is not atall like it was in the past that is why i say its recently successful
Normally companies start off with a Bang with their world changing products,then they ride off the success for a while and refine their products and they after a long while die off.
Google,microsoft,etc are still riding off the success of their first BIG products which are Windows and Google Search.
Apple is a totally different thing alltogether
