At some point people actually got to see the PS3 and 360 versions of the game before the launch. Battlefield has always been a PC first kind of game.EA marketed and did a beta for the PS3 and Xbox 360, so there is no excuse. Its become blindingly obvious that from the hype this game is getting Microsoft stood in the way of the 360 version getting a beta as well as any form of proper imagery or videos. All we have is one article which tells us the porting developer. |
I'm shocked to see you say you're fine with Company A doing it but when Microsoft does it then oh noes its terrible. "At some point" people will see the 360 version of Titanfall as well. Seems extremely silly to me that you're willing to give EA a pass here just because they were trying to launch a new game, yet MS gets pooed on even though they are trying to launch an entire new platform. Also, how in the world is it obvious MS stood in the way of any beta? Do you have any links or evidence of this at all? The two platforms being made by Respawn got a beta. The one being shifted off to an outside company did not. Seems pretty cut and dry to me.

Early adoption is what they are trying to endorse, hence why they are giving away Titanfall for free to Xbox One owners for a limited amount of time. The 360 version is what I want to know about. I don't need the run around. You think you're answering questions but really all you're doing is putting people on the defensive just because you don't care to understand the question and properly answer it. |
Of course they are trying to endorse early adoption. Of course they are trying to push the Xbox One version over the 360 version. You say these things so matter of fact like, yet you're the author of the thread.

Unless you can answer my questions stop talking about nonsense. We have every right as consumers to question Microsofts judgement about how they are handling the multiplatform launch and anyone with half a brain knows they are trying to hide the 360 version by pushing it back to stay out of the way of the Xbox One version. |
Images or footage of the game doesn't exist. You know this, you knew it before making the thread. I pointed to the Xbox.com Titanfall webpage for people who are replying as if MS is actively preventing media of the 360 game from coming out. You think it isn't in EA's best interest as well for the Xbox One to sell units? If you're in EA's shoes, and MS has already given you a huge fat check or some nice lucrative kickbacks for exclusive rights to the game, do you want more sales on an aging and soon to be out of the loop 360, or do you want the biggest impact possible on the Xbox One userbase, where you're going to spend the next 5-10 years shooting out games? Again, obvious answers are obvious. Also, you're right about one thing. As consumers, you DO have every right to question how MS is handling the launch and media of the game. Of course, it's not a Microsoft game, but I know they are the ones you need to attack, so lets go with that. At the same time, I have every right to reply. If you're looking for 360 media on Titanfall you should probably check around the 20th or so of March.
| S.T.A.G.E. said: Obvious answers? No. Anyone who wants to invest in Titanfall has absolutley nothing to go on for the 360 version. All the games you mentioned had pictures or footage early before their launch no matter which console. They've left their last gen gamers blind, deaf and dumb and hopefully they are smart enough to know the deception. I believe Microsoft feels this is the only game that can properly sell their next gen console. |
There is no deception, the game is not out yet. MS is not actively preventing people from knowing the game exists, it's right there on their own website. By the way if you check out Respawn's website they actually do emphasize the Xbone and PC versions over the 360 version. And wow MS feels an insanely anticipated killer app like Titanfall can sell their console, you've cracked the code with that insight.
