Seems odd to use a technique that produces an inferior result when all 3 platforms are PC-like in architecture. Was it a compromise to get 1080p? Or is it because PS3 port is based on PS4, and trilinear filtering is somehow necessary or easier to use for PS3? |
Please stop spreading this lie. Remember when this same DF author (it's not Leadbetter) wrote that PS4 version of NFS didn't have ambient occlusing?
Well he was blatantly lying as the devs send him an email explaining to him in fact PS4 used a better ambient occlusing than XB1. And he was forced to update his article and said that finally PS4 version was better.
There is some texture streaming issue (which was not seen in many NeoGaf PS4 Thief owners when the game was fully installed). And some rare filtering texture issue but not visible on those pics anyway. On the contrary, if you look at those images natively you'll notice that 99% of PS4 textures are in fact a slightly bit more sharper due to better resolution and the previous gif even showed that the XB1 had also real streaming pop-ins issues.
