Microsoft is already making profit at $499, they can compete easily with PS4 dropping Kinect, and still make profit. Although I still think Sony would win by a huge margen no matter what, the Playstation brand is a lot more stronger.

Maybe they profit if everyone buys a game, but just at $499 I really doubt Microsoft is coming in black.

Are not they making profit for every Xbox One sold? Maybe I'm wrong but that's what I remember.
