lol wow thats one of the most ignorant things I've ever read. If Sony made the DS4 different and fixed the problems people were having, then why the hell would you need a xbox styled PS4 controller when the alleged problems have been fixed? This is the PS4 we're talking about, not PS3. Sony didnt consider assymetrical sticks for PS4, they tested it and they came to the conclusion it's too awful and thats why they sticked with symmetrical sticks.

Sony Saw Sense and Ditched Asymmetrical Sticks for PS4

testing = considering

No its not. Read the article. The controller saw many different prototypes, they even tested Wii U Pro style controllers, just like the Xbone controller went through various prototypes and they definetly had a xbox controller with symmetrical positioned sticks as well.

Source?

If so then I would still say that they considered symmetrical sticks. If you take the time to test out something then it was obviously a thought in your mind lol.

Considering they spent 100m dollars(LOL) on the controller alone, its incredibly likely they had a symmetrical setup as well.

And you're even talking about the Xbox One controller? Why would they change the good parts of their controller? Its understandable for Sony because of how horrible the DS3 is. But the only problem the 360 controller had was the D-pad and the bulging battery pack. 100m was spent on improvements, not downgrades.

Sigh. No one is claiming they'd change the "good parts of the controller". The discussion we're having is whether MS tested all types of possible layouts, whether it's good or bad is not the discussion.
