There is a miracle substance after all!  Over the past 5 or six years, researchers around the globe have been experimenting with a relatively new substance called EGCG or Epigallocatechin Gallate; one of the main ingredients in natural Tea's, particularly Green Tea.

Interest in the natural chemical erupted when researchers in Japan attributed the famous anti-aging of the Japanese people to their high consumption of Green Tea and the EGCG within it.  EGCG is an extremely powerful yet extremely safe Anti-Oxidant.

Other studies were performed in order to confirm or deny the findings.  The positive results were surprising!  The Negative effects...virtually non-existant.

I thought it would be kind of interesting to share some of the findings here :P

Effects on Skin

One of the more noticable effects that EGCG has on the body, is the effect it has on Human Skin, and it does A LOT.

---A.)  It REVIVES dead skin cells on the Epidermis (outer most layer) of skin.  Dead skin that would normally just flake or fall off instead comes back to life and begin to produce DNA once more.  On average, skins cells on the Epidermis live for 28 days, and begin dying after 20.  Patients introduced to EGCG via Tablet or Tea form, showed an average skin cell life span of nearly 60 days.

---B.)  Not only does EGCG make your skin live longer, but it also makes it look much healthier.  Research has shown the EGCG is significantly more powerful than Antibiotics in fighting skin infections and diseases of all kinds.  Most non-cancer (will get to Cancer) studies were focused on the many forms of Acne, Rosacea, and Eczema.

In the vast majority of cases, patients exposed to high doses of EGCG showed astonishing results within 30 days, particularly when paired with Probiotics.  Even those with Severe cases of Acne and Rosacea, which would normally be treated with dangerous drugs such as Accutane, showed amazing progress due to the introduction of EGCG.

EGCG reduces the production of Sebum (puss that clogs spores) in skin by over 60%, works as a top grade Anti-Inflammatory medicine, prevents dead skin from flaking and further clogging pores, and directly attacks bacteria responsible for causeing Acne.  All of this with with little to no side effects.

---C.) EGCG was also found to halt the formation of scar tissue and skin ulcers...Effectively treat Psoriasis, and significantly slow the formation of Wrinkles.

EGCG and Cancer

Studies on EGCG's effect on the many forms of cancer are still in their infancy, but huge results are already coming to fruition via lab results on Animals.

In tests performed on cancerous Rats, Pigs, and Chimpanzees...patients introduced to EGCG saw an average of a 50% decrease in the amount of cancerous tumours forming througout the body and significantly hindering the growth rates of surviving tumors.  A near 100% halt of Tumor formation was shown for patients in the early stages of Cancer.  All of this without the introduction Chemotherapy.

Other Significant ECGC Uses

1.)  Joints: EGCG is quickly becoming the go to chemical for Arthritis treatments.

2.)  Diabetes:  EGCG naturally controls and balances blood sugar levels.  For Type 1 Diabetes in particular, EGCG has been shown to A.) Completely prevent the development of it.  and B.) Significantly slow the development of the disease if it has already formed.

3.)  Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis (The Infammatory Bowel diseases:-  EGCG is an amazing Anti-Inflammatory, especially in the nether regions of the human anatomy.

4.)  Weight Loss:-  EGCG has been shown to be extremely effective at balancing the Human Metabolism and is expected to replace Ephemra as the Go-To-Weight Loss drug.

5.)  Studies are still being done to explain why this particular chemical is so good for us, when it does not naturally occur in our bodies in any way shape or form...any thoughts?

Well...I guess that explains Asians then O.o
