What EA doesnt sell on PS4/PS3 will likely be offset by whatever MSFT paid, or at least some of it. And if it turns out successful they can just as easily make TF2 for Sony as well knowing it will be a success. Again, new ip that is automatically getting paid for MSFT is a perk.
And yeah MSFT is advertising. Been all over the front page of XBL, them touting it constantly, in their Xbox One Launch trailer "invititation", a TitanFall launch party in texas, TitanFall controller, Xbox One TitanFall Bundle (Where they likely paid for that as well), and im sure there is more coming.
We dont know the extent of the contract that MSFT and EA made but again, EA wouldnt have agreed to it if they didnt see it as worth it. Now we have to wait and see if it was worth it for MSFT or not.
