The Republican's party line of touting the religious right defies the old principles of the party. In years past, Republicans were the ones who distanced themselves from religion. It sickens me to see the party change its stance so drastically and defy some of the core principles of the old Republican party.

Well, I'm deeply ashamed to admit it but I've found another point we agree on. I blame Lee Atwater.
